ERICA'S GRADIENT COLLECTION

concept developer and artist
Aug. 2023
When you combine an overload of creativity with everyday items, you can create pieces of art that visually represent the creativity within you. That’s exactly what happened when I created my Gradient Collection.
Inspired by everyday objects, recent films I’ve watched, and innovative technology, I used Adobe Photoshop to design artwork that not only appeals to me visually but also looks really cool.
One creative challenge I faced was my impatience—I was eager to create something without a clear plan. I didn’t sketch rough drafts; instead, I spent hours experimenting through trial and error. To overcome this, I developed a workflow that allowed me to produce six unique pieces, each with its own distinct style.

It all started with my colour palette for each gradient. Once I grouped them together, I was able to experiment with how they blended visually.
